Gregory Packs: Technology and Innovation Campaign
RUGGED OVERSEAS FIELD SHOOTS MEET STUDIO PRECISION
Our team was tasked with telling the story of two new innovations for Gregory Packs: AirCushion technology and FreeFloat technology. We approached the work by seamlessly integrating footage captured in the field while we were in South America with a more controlled studio shoot, allowing us to show the technology both in real-world use and in a refined, product-focused environment. From there, a talented motion graphics and animation team helped bring everything together, completing the package and giving the final pieces a polished, technical edge.

INNOVATION: FREEFLOAT
The technology behind FreeFloat is complex, but its effect is intentionally subtle. The challenge was to clearly show how the pack moves with the body, helping the hiker go farther, feel more balanced, and stay comfortable over time. By combining hip belt diagrams, close-up capture on real models, and thoughtful motion graphics, we were able to tell the full story of how the pack works as an extension of the body—supporting each step and making the experience on trail feel more natural and enjoyable.
INNOVATION: AIRCUSHION
The function of AirCushion technology is simple: to create a breathable buffer of air between the wearer’s back and the pack. The material itself is highly technical, built from a 3D monofilament structure that is made up of roughly 90% air. By highlighting the material, airflow, and space between the body and the pack, we were able to show how the technology delivers next-generation breathability, helping the wearer stay cooler, more comfortable, and less sweaty on the trail.
We had the pleasure of partnering with Mac Moss Studio on the motion graphics and VFX for both the FreeFloat and AirCushion technology videos.

The work added a layer of creative flair to the pieces, while also helping communicate the technology on a deeper, more visual level.

The animation treatments became a key part of the storytelling, making the innovation feel both technical and easy to understand.
